Tenzing has given me the most hospitable stay I could possibly imagine. I came for PhD research, and Doden even went out of his way to help me with finding local contacts. He's done so many countless things to make sure I am comfortable, way above and beyond what any hotel cares to do. He has been so hospitable, and he is my friend now! Not to mention the cook who makes customized meals based on my unusual food preferences (I do not like north Indian style :P) I prefer to be slightly away from central Gangtok city, and it is completely worth it to me to catch a ride via taxi into town. I'd rather be up in the hills near the forest anyway! I cannot recommend enough, and as long as Tenzing will take me, I will keep going back!

HOME AWAY HOME....truly justifies The Griffon's Nest.. We have stayed in many destinations, but the service and behavior truly touched our heart. The staffs are courteous,ever smiling and they go out of their way to help you out or to meet your need. Room s are clean, specious and the view is awesome. The owner and his family stood next to us just like our own family members , when two of our family members fell ill during our stay. The property has got a nice terrace with camp fire facility available. You can enjoy the panoramic view sitting in the terrace , while satisfying your taste buds with finger licking food cooked by extremely cordial , smiling Chef
